Interest in North Elementary’s spring play production of “The Wizard of Oz” was so high this year that Mr. Lenhoff, the play’s director, decided to have two casts perform the show. Performance dates are Tuesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 27 at 6 p.m. in the North gym.
Students have been busy the past few weeks fine tuning their performance and with two different casts, they have had to stagger the dates/times when each group rehearses.
“For many kids, this is their first theater experience," Lenhoff said. "I’m proud of all of their hard work and their patience for waiting for their part during practice."
Mr. Lenhoff is also fortunate to have a group of parent/adult volunteers coming in regularly to help out with the sets/artwork. He also had help from several high school volunteers during the first week of rehearsals.
“Every extra helper has been a benefit to the show," he said. " I’m very grateful!”
