PFCT’s ‘Beauty & the Beast’ coming to SPHS stage Aug. 12 & 13
Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre production of ‘Beauty & the Beast’, featuring many young local performers, is coming to the Saint Peter High School Performing Arts Center stage on Friday, Aug. 12, and Saturday, Aug. 13. Showtimes are set for 7 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Tickets will be available for purchase 30 minutes prior to each show with general admission $8, grades K-6 $5, with kids pre-school and younger admitted free!
Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre offers a wide array of productions each summer and all plays are original musical adaptations with special twists enjoyed by young & old alike. Their productions have roles for movers, singers, aspiring actors and for kids who just want to gain some self confidence.
Two professional Actor/Directors from the PFCT staff come to each community for a one-week residency. PFCT staff members working here in St. Peter are Christie Lamb and Jimmy Lancaster. Click HERE to learn more about this talented duo! The staff members audition local children with the number being cast dependent on the particular play that is scheduled.
The kids rehearse four hours and fifteen minutes a day in preparation for the two weekend shows. Income from the ticket sales go to the sponsoring school/organization.
