As a way to celebrate making their way through learning all 26 letters of the alphabet, some South Elementary kindergarten classes recently got together to put on an Alphabet Fashion Show. To see a slide show of the event please click HERE!
"Kindergarten classes have focused on one letter of the alphabet a day since the beginning of the school year,” South kindergarten teacher Bridget Powell said. “Last week we focused on our last letter, Zz. To celebrate, students were each assigned one letter of the alphabet and they created a vest with pictures of things that began with that letter. Students were able to walk a red runway and show off their vests at the Alphabet Fashion Show."
“Students are not done learning about the letters in the alphabet as it will be a primary focus all year long, but this was a great way to get them excited about their learning,” Mrs. Powell added.
