A group of Saint Peter High School students in Peggy Dimock’s English class recently saw their written responses posted in an online article in the New York Times as part of that famed-publication’s Current Event Conversation series. The topic these SPHS students were responding to was, “What Teenagers Are Saying About Parents Paying Their Children to Read.”
Those SPHS students whose responses were included in the article were Isam Ibrahim, Isabelle Mish, Anja Harbo, Lola Pell, Ryan Ranft, and Gretta Baker.
“These students’ responses were six of the 200 responses chosen (by the New York Times) for the quality of their exemplary writing and their opinion on the topic,” Mrs. Dimock said. “I’m so proud of all of them! The New York Times tries very hard to represent a wide range of responses from across the country, and for six examples being from Saint Peter High School is remarkable.”
