Saint Peter High School had four teams competing today (Monday, Jan. 6), along with 35 other teams, at the Knowledge Bowl competition at South Central College in North Mankato and the Neon Salmon team of seniors Callum Harmes and Isam Ibrihim along with juniors Sada Harmes and Lily Filand took first place overall! SPHS science teacher, Dr. Chris Harmes, is SPHS’s Knowledge Bowl coach.

Two other SPHS teams also placed in the top 10 – Caput Mortuum team (Alan Nienow, Ethan Borowy, Sam Syzbnski, Roan Gerstbauer) in seventh and Slate team (Matthew Timmerman, Sam Baxa, Amar Daidzic, Elijah Cherland Narum and John Schueler ) in 10th. The fourth SPHS team (Fuchsia) consisted of first-time Knowledge Bowl participants June Elias, Rahaf Salim, Robin Hibscher, and Maddie Petersen, and Fuchsia placed 20th overall to cap a great day for the Saints’ Knowledge Bowl program!
