SPHS Recycled Art Show

Three-dimensional art class students at Saint Peter High School recently worked together in small groups to create an outfit or clothing item out of unconventional materials that might have otherwise been thrown away, recycled, or considered "trash." The students then put those outfits/items on display during their Recycled Fashion Show last Tuesday (February 25th) in the Performing Arts Center.

Students in Mrs. Hendrickson’s class used hand-sewing techniques, staplers, hot glue, and tape to join the unusual fabrics together. The outfit had to be functional, meaning that the model could actually put it on and move around.

(SHOWN ABOVE) SPHS 3-D art students who modeled in the Recycled Fashion Show included (l to r), Dayne Tollefson (12), Cameron Nelsen (12), Sean Mitchell (12), Emma Volk Kleschult (11), Kaylee Vogt (10), Shelby Hall (11), Ella Dirks (10), Zoii Alas (11), Leilani Reyna (12), Emily Sustaita (12), Charlie Buesgens (12), Colin Flowers (12).
