A large group of Saint Peter High School choir students, director Bri Bergstrom and several adult chaperones are heading to the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico in the early morning hours this Thursday (March 20). The group will return to Minnesota on Tuesday, March 25.
“In 2013, I was a student teacher at Eastview High School and had the opportunity to join their choir tour to Puerto Rico,” Bergstrom said. “Ever since then, I have wanted to take my own group and I can not wait to be back!”
There the students will participate in student exchanges with two high schools as well as performing in a clinic with Dr. Carmen Acevedo at the University of Puerto Rico.
In addition to the singing/educational portion of the trip, free time has been set aside for the group to take part in hiking through El Yunque Rainforest, zip lining, kayaking in the bioluminescent bay, going into the Caverns, touring Old San Juan, and spending time on the beach.
More details on the SPHS Choir trip to Puerto Rico will be shared soon after they return back to St. Peter!
