Saint Peter Public Schools will celebrate Homecoming Week starting on Monday, Sept. 30 through Saturday, Oct. 5 with a variety of dress up days set for Saint Peter High School, Saint Peter Middle School, North Elementary, and South Elementary. The SPHS Student Council also has a variety of activities lined up for students in grades 9-12 throughout the week.
The SPHS Homecoming Queen & King will be crowned Friday (Oct. 4) evening on the track in front of the main bleachers at Floyd B. Johnson Field, prior to the St. Peter/New Ulm football game. The crowning will take place around 6:15 p.m. This year’s SPHS Homecoming Queen candidates include (listed alphabetically by last name): Gretta Baker, Iris Elias, Isabelle Mish, Emmy Remmert, and Nora Whipps; and King candidates include Roblae Abdi, Luke Banks, Max Bultman, Quinn Dixon, and Noah Kracht.
The annual Homecoming Parade is set for 4:30 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 4). The route will start on Broadway Ave. (at Lincoln Drive) and head east until South Third Street where it turns southbound until Grace Street. The parade will then head back west on Grace Street back to Lincoln Drive.
