Saint Peter Middle School 5th grade enjoyed a field trip this week to the History Fest. This festival is held annually during the 2nd week of October at the McGowan Farm in Mankato, Minnesota.
Students get hands-on learning experiences with periods in history and have the chance to interact with people outside of their own home/community, broadening their horizons.
At the History Fest you’ll find a variety of entertainers and activities ranging from Historical Interpreters of 17th century Scotland and the Old West to belly dancers, launching a catapult, cider making, cannon shooting and so much more.
